VACANCY: IT specialist

  • You contribute actively to the team with your software development expertise, IT administration skills, and overall resourcefulness.
  • You interface with researchers in the domain of electrical grids, electrical and hydrogen storage, thermal energy systems, energy markets, e-mobility, etc., and provide performant and practical algorithmic solutions for their challenges.
  • You support the development and implementation of specialized software from inception/prototype stage up to production grade.
  • You take responsibility for software quality and availability, data engineering, and porting of algorithms to web services and cloud solutions.
  • You continuously learn and improve your skills in software development and IT as well as in the neighboring energy domains. You actively explore novel technologies and frameworks.
  • You work as part of the team as well as independently, you share your expertise and proactively advise on methods and components.


  • You hold a Master’s degree in computer science or data science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a relevant similar education; or a Bachelor’s degree in combination with substantial work experience in software development.
  • You have a general passion for IT, computing, and software. Your broad interest can be employed in various technologies and frameworks.
  • You are proficient with team based software development processes (e.g., agile/scrum) and version control/testing/deployment tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
  • You have experience with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS and you are willing to tackle Azure as PaaS.
  • You have development experience in C++/C# and/or Python, scripting languages and databases.
  • You worked with virtual machines and server administration.
  • You can effectively (verbally and in writing) communicate in English.
  • A strong interest in sustainable energy, the energy system, and energy transition related topics is a plus.

VACANCY: Machine Learning specialist

  • Develop analytic models to predict energy storage requirements and dynamic response
  • Monitor performance of existing models and fine tune them
  • Build python based tools to monitor data quality among feature sets used across various models.
  • Build tableau dashboards to visualize model metrics and results
  • Develop monitoring and diagnostics tools to enable preventive maintenance in the most cost effective manner
  • Training of engineers and technicians on how to use data and machine learning for optimizing the product design and maintenance

You will do well in this role if you:

  • Have experience training, deploying, monitoring, debugging and iterating on production machine learning systems.
  • Are proficient with databases, SQL, and scripting languages
  • Have the ability to apply statistical techniques to tackle real problems.
  • Have successfully taken requirements from design through to delivery both independently and with a team.
  • Write understandable, testable code and you have an eye towards maintainability.
  • Care about the implications of your work on end users.
